ATCC幽门螺杆菌(Helicobacter pylori,Hp)是一种专性微需氧菌。它的稳定生长需要依靠在生长的微环境中含2-8%的O2。因此,它在大气中和绝对厌氧条件下均不能生长。从临床标本中分离野生株都必需补充适量的CO2。而且它生长缓慢,通常需要3-5d,甚至更长时间,才能形成针尖状小菌落。为了避免快速生长的兼性厌O2菌和霉菌等的过度生长,常需加入由万古霉素、TMP、两性霉素、多粘菌素等组合的抑菌剂。 幽门螺杆菌在液体培养基中生长更加困难。这可能与在液体里面更难保证菌体周围稳定的微含O2量环境有关。 在血琼脂中,幽门螺杆菌不能在含有5%胆汁的情况下生长。将细菌暴露于含有5%胆汁的液体培养基中30min,有25%的幽门螺杆菌被杀死。这说明幽门螺杆菌通过十二指肠时尚有生存的可能性。
