传播途径
乙型肝炎病毒主要经血液、体液传播，如母婴传播、性接触传播、密切接触传播等，如家里有乙肝患者，其他人有被乙型肝炎病毒感染的几率，且病毒可通过胎盘传播给胎儿，还可通过产道、医源性途径传播，如医护人员皮肤破损后，如果接触乙型肝炎病毒污染的体液、分泌物，也可能会感染乙型肝炎病毒;
潜伏期
乙型肝炎病毒潜伏期通常是1-6个月，一般普通人群在感染乙型肝炎病毒后，最早可能在7-10天就会出现症状，部分人群可能在1个月后才会出现症状;
检查结果
可以通过乙型肝炎病毒DNA检测了解乙型肝炎病毒存在体内，或者通过乙型肝炎表面抗原、乙型肝炎病毒表面抗体、乙型肝炎病毒E抗体等指标，了解是否被感染。
小鼠体内含有乙型肝炎病毒，如果小鼠与小动物接触后，应及时去医院通过血清学检查明确是否被感染，同时在生活中应避免与小动物接触，家里有乙肝患者时应避免与小动物接触，避免感染乙型肝炎病毒。如果小动物出现皮肤红肿等症状时，可能是被感染引起，建议及时去医院就诊，在医生的指导下进行治疗。
