Autoclave at 121C for 15 minutes.
NOTE: Growth of Zoogloea resiniphila is poor on this medium, however it produces a dispersed turbid suspension that can be freeze-dried.
A better growth medium would be tryptic soy broth (30.0 g/L) with addition of filter-sterilized sodium pyruvate (1.0 g/L).
Incubate at 30C in a roller tube. Growth is in the form of a large flake or clump due to copious production of exopolymer which interferes with lyophilization.
