ATCC medium: 1576 Marine medium with iota-Carrageenan

 Solution A:

NaCl........................25.0 g

MgSO4 . 7H2O .................5.0 g

CaCl2 . 2H2O .................0.2 g

KCl..........................0.1 g

NaNO3 ........................2.0 g

Casamino acids...............2.5 g

Iota-Carrageenan.............2.5 g

Distilled water..............1.0 L

Solution B:

0.2 M Na2HPO4 ...............60.0 ml

Solution C:

0.3% FeSO4 . 7H2O ...........10.0 ml

Autoclave each solution separately at 121C for 15 minutes. Add Solutions B and C aseptically to Solution A. The final pH is approximately 7.2. For solid medium, add 15.0 g of agar to Solution A.
