猪肺炎支原体，是由猪肺炎支原体引发的一种慢性肺炎，又称猪地方流行性肺炎，其病原最早由Mare、Switzer(1965)和Goodwin等(1965)从患肺炎猪的肺组织中分离出，并试验复制出本病，报导后该病原被命名为M.hyopneumoniae。
