形态特征
G+小球杆菌，有动力，过氧化氢酶阳性，血平板上产生β-溶血；硝酸盐还原实验阴性，不发酵木糖、甘露醇；发酵葡萄糖、麦芽糖、七叶苷、鼠李糖。兼性厌氧，最适pH7.4~7.6。

单核细胞增生李斯特氏菌，是一种食源性的人畜共患病的病原菌，欧美国家曾多次暴发由于食用了受单增李斯特氏菌污染的肉制品、奶制品、蔬菜及水果等而引发的严重的食物中Chemicalbook毒事件。由于该菌广泛存在于农业生产（土壤、作物和水源）和食品加工环境中，更可在低温条件（4℃）下生长繁殖，因此是冷藏及生鲜食品中威胁消费者健康的重要病原菌。
