Comments : E71 H: does not grow in rabbit kidney cells and is stable at -70 C, and is insensitive to BrdU (40 ug/ml). Partly neutralized by high titer anti-Coxsackie A16 antisera. The BrCr strain of entrovirus 71 (ATCCVR-784) was isolated from a meningitis case, typical of E71 in the US and Australia, the H strain was isolated from a HFMD case, typical of E71 in China, Japan and Singapore.
