Comments:Animals were immunized with the mouse cell line RAW 112.
Spleen cells were fused S194/5.XX0.BU.1 myeloma cells.
The antibody reacts with an antigen on normal B lymphocytes, a fraction of sIg- bone marrow cells and most plasma cells.
It precipitates a 50000 dalton (p50) molecule from bone marrow, spleen, thymus and Abelson leukemia virus transformed cells.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing: Medium Renewal: Every 3 to 4 days
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 1 x 10 exp5 cells/ml ay maintain between 1 x 10 exp5 and 1 x 10 exp6 cells/ml.
