Adjust pH to 7.5 and filter sterilize. Store at 2-8
oC until ready to use. Dispense
SDM-79 medium in 9 ml aliquots into T-25 tissue culture flasks, then add 1.0 ml
of heat-inactivated fetal bovine serum and 150 ?l hemin solution. Final
concentration of hemin should be 7.5 ?g/ml.

1N NaOH………………………………………………………1.0 ml
Filter sterilize and store at 2-8
oC until ready to use. Hemin solution should not be
kept longer than 30 days.
