Comments : This virus is a good immunogen in rabbit and horse. There are no cross-reactions with 37 prototypes by serum neutralization (SN) and hemagglutination inhibition (HAI). This strain is related to the Tak strain as indicated by by SN and HAI. At low titer, the virus hemagglutinates rat red blood cells (RBC). It does not hemagglutinate rhesus monkey or human type O RBC. The virus is stable at -20C.
