Host Organism : A9 cells (ATCCCCL-1.4) mouse cells in tissue culture mouse
Incubation : Duration: 2-3 days at 37C in A9 cells (ATCCCCL-1.4)
Effect : Yes, in vitro effects: Cytopathic effects (slight rounding and enlarging of cells)
Store at : -70C or lower
Comments : isolated by P. Tattersall as MVM(T) and subsequently renamed MVM(p) MVM(p) is best propagated on A9 cells where CPE consists of slight rounding and enlarging of infected cells. Titration is best accomplished in 324K cells where infection leads to a total loss of the monolayer in 5-6 days. Isolated by P. Tattersall in L. Crawford's lab as MVM(T) and subsequently renamed MVM(p). -70C or lower
